Healer2Healer is an international organization that brings volunteer alternative medicine practitioners – such as acupuncturists, Reiki practitioners, and medical massage therapists – to rural indigenous communities.
Our members are professionally licensed or certified alternative medicine practitioners and students, selected for their ability to work together as a small team of volunteers. In the process they learn from each other, and from local healers.
Learn from the Amazon Herself. As part of an essential part of the Cultural Healing exchange program, the participants will experience first hand the Ando-Amazonian indigenous medicine and transformation practices during half the time of the stay.
Healer2Healer works in a partnership with the indigenous women of Quiche, known as the Qanil Maya Womens Group (Grupo de Mujeres Mayas Qanil). This community lies in the Guatemalan Highlands of the Departamento del Quiche, Guatemala, Central America.
Healer2Healer has established international relationships with key institutions that provide an opportunity for profound and meaningful work, with the centerpiece being in Guatemala, Central America.
Healer2Healer is working on an initiative to document the indigenous remedies based on local flora in locations where we work with native healers.
